Flora-
Though it often rains in the early morning, it gets hot, dry, and sunny during the day. so some of these plants seem to be drying out on days when it doesn't rain (except the cacti, since they have thicker cell walls). Since these plants seem to be more suited to moisture and humidity, then maybe this area used to be wetter, and more fertile.
Fauna-
Discovered a larger black and red fly, I haven't seen it till past 9:30, and before 6:30
I hypothesize that these flies aren't active during the night, early morning, and late afternoon.
Abiotic-
It seems to rain in my environment everyday at 8:30... the birds and bugs don't seem to mind a drizzle, as if it's not a big surprise.
possibly the birds and bugs have adapted to the moisture in their environment in some way from the everyday routine rain.
